Horst Endrulat, Central Coast Tourism


Horst Endrulat studied Business, Commerce, Industry and Marketing in his homeland Germany and successfully completed a three year business apprenticeship with Germany's largest travel chain and shipping line, Hapag Lloyd.  He went on to join BOAC (British Airways) Dusseldorf office, responsible for sales in Germany's largest commercial and industrial region, the Ruhr area; Qantas Airways, Sales Manager NOrth Rhine Westphalia based in Dusseldorf; Qantas Airways, Sales Manager Germany West based in Frankfurt with responsibility for the Qantas offices in Frankfurt, Stuggart and Berlin, and Australian Tourist Commission Frankfurst - Marketing Director Continental Europe.

He has been an inbound tour operator in Australia, and consulted on international marketing ot he Northern Territory Tourist Commission.

He was responsible for developing tourism strategies for the City of Newcastle which resulted in the creation of the Newcastle Convention & Visitor Bureau.

Since 1994, Horst has worked on the Central Coast where he set up the most successful regional tourism organisations in NSW - Central Coast Tourism - which has enjoyed widespread financial support from teh private sector for over 14 years.

Horst will host a panel discussion on the Challenges facing tourism on the Central Coast, at 11.30am to 12.30pm Thursday August 14 as part of the Expo.
