Since the age of 14, Jason has always had a thirst for mixing creative arts with business. His first commissions included a comic strip for his local newspaper, then graduating to his own greeting card ranges with Hallmark and John Sands. In 1988, Jason was a regular artistic contributor for the design of Bicentennial Committee projects and made guest appearances on Channel 7’s ‘Cartoon Connection’ as well as Channel TEN’s ‘Ridgey Didge’ shows.
His first ‘real job’ was with award winning Newcastle Advertising Agency ‘Admak’, under the helm of Art Ryan. Jason’s first week of work experience saw him offered a full-time position as junior designer - a post he graduated from within 2 years to become Agency Art Director. Some 12 years later, Jason bid farewell to Newcastle and relocated to the Central Coast, establishing ‘Treehouse Creative’.
In 5 years, ‘Treehouse Creative’ has quickly grown from a home business into a thriving creative studio with national clients, employing six staff in total.
Concurrently, Jason’s hobby of film making has seen him win numerous film festivals and gain the respect of industry peers. In 2007, a historic documentary directed by Jason titled ‘Lockout’ featured on Foxtel’s ‘The History Channel’, and has enjoyed sell-out audiences at festival screenings in Australia, Singapore and USA.
A multi-faceted creative with a thirst for problem solving, Jason enjoys the art of communicating, be that through creative copywriting, advertising concepts, marketing strategy, graphic design, broadcast + video projects or films.
