Chris Lear was born and bred on the Central Coast, having lived here for the majority of his life.
Chris is the Industry Liaison Officer the Australian Technical College - Central Coast(ATC-CC) where he is responsible for placing students into an Australian School Based Apprenticeship with local employers. In addition to their apprenticeship, the ATC-CC students participate in HSC academic subjects and trade training subjects leading to a Certificate III in their chosen trade.
As well as completing his apprenticeship as a Boilermaker with a local manufacturer, Chris has completed the Open Foundation course at Newcastle Uni.
Chris sees value in a good education and see the importance for our young people to both complete their HSC AND commence their trade certificate. He is passionate about seeing the youth of Central Coast get off to a great start with a view to securing their future in industry.
AT the Expo Chris will be part of our panel discussion on recruitment, staffing and the workforce - Business Insights: People Power, hosted by Catherine Nolan.
