Mary Doherty’s association with the Central Coast extends more than 20years. Mary is an experienced chief executive, director and senior executive having worked in Australia and Europe. She has broad international experience in business, managing strategic and sensitive issues, media, brand marketing and is an international keynote speaker.
Mary is the Regional Manager of the NSW Business Chamber Central Coast a non-profit, business organisation, which advises, supports business, lobby’s all levels of government for good economic growth and development, and achieves commonsense outcomes for the region. NSW Business Chamber Central Coast represents in excess of 11,000 businesses.
Mary is a tireless champion for business and the recognition of the Central Coast as a Region. Working in partnership with 10,000 friends of Greater Sydney has been instrumental in developing an integrated strategy towards a prosperous, sustainable Central Coast Region.
In recognition for her tireless work in this area, 10,000 friends honoured Mary by making her the first Ambassador for the organisation.
She is part of Wyong’s Shire strategy for the future and is a member of the steering committee for Gosford’s 2050 Vision.
As a member of the Hunter Institute Advisory Council she is working with business and educational institutions in developing answers to the skills shortage
She holds directorships on a number of boards
